In our final blog of the series, you’ll learn 3 key ways to secure prospects for your business. With the ability to reach hundreds and possibly thousands of prospects every day through social media, everyone in sales should be engaging in this practice. To improve your chances to succeed in business, you must understand the importance of selling and marketing. To do so, incorporate a mix of other methods to get the word out and attract clients. If there is one thing I’ve learned after being in business for many years, is that social media by itself can’t be fully relied on.
Networking Events
To Network is to interact with other people to exchange information and develop contacts, especially to further opportunities.
Being intentional about where you network will determine if you have a successful experience. There are several steps you can take to find your perfect networking community, and it starts with being strategic. Your networking community should reflect who you want to strategically work with, including who you plan to target and those you plan to follow-up with.
Speaking Opportunities
Everyone is an expert in something. We can all contribute valuable information to any given audience that you can address. We also know that speaking in public is probably the number one fear many people have, however, for some it feels great to be asked to speak in public. Whenever you have the opportunity to speak in public, do know that it will help position your brand and business. It will also help boost your credibility. Most importantly, it helps generate leads for your business.
Follow-Up with Customers
There’s a saying in sales that, “the fortune is in the follow-up.” Speaking from experience I can tell you that most of my sales success has come from consistently following up with customers and leads. You should not feel afraid of reaching out and gently pushing people to make decisions. Remember you’re not the only person that your prospect is thinking about. Don’t rely on emails or social media. Pick up the phone and call people; set up meetings. 80% of sales require 5 follow-up phone calls after the meeting. (source: The Marketing Donut).
Consistently put these 3 key ways to secure clients and you’ll see results. Please share with me how your sales progress is going.
